Description

This special cuvée is a delicious red, made with lower yields and aged in French oak barrels.

Fuller bodied than our classic Bordeaux Supérieur red, and deservedly more expensive, we think. All three vintages - the 2019, 2020 and 2021 - are drinkable now but will age well for a good few years too, especially in magnum.

The back label: "A special cuvée, this blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon was made from two parcels of vines in a single block, and aged in small French oak barrels. A full bodied wine, it's ripe enough to drink young or keep it for years. Best decanted." 14% vol.
